 In and around Herrenalb are lots of cycle tracks for a day trip. Once used by the Tour de France. There are also tracks  for a mountain bike tour. More info here at the Tourist office

here are many railway trips available here at the black forest. We recommend a journey with the tram S1 or  S41. You can depart from Herrenalb Station on the  S1 to Karlsruhe or from  Herrenalb by bus to Gernsbach and later change to the tram  S41 for Freudenstadt. Details here time table

from Herrenalb Station just 200 meters from the hotel away, there are lots of direct travel connections by bus or railway. Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, Rastatt, Bad Wildbad or Pforzheim are just a short ride away. Day trips are available at the tourist information. Details see time table

from Herrenalb you can go in 45 min to the famous Hockenheimring to see the international racing teams of motor sport.
